Today’s hiking adventure was along the spectacular sunflowers at Gibbon Sunflower Field.

The sun hid behind the clouds as we hiked up and down the isles of sunflowers.

There were lots of props set up along the paths for photo opportunities.

The path continued into a corn field.

We even found corn smut, which is a fungal disease of corn. I hear it’s a delicacy in some people’s kitchens.

Today’s sunflower filled hike was 1.2 miles.
